Old patterns and trauma may be resurfacing- in your relationships, at work, or as emotional reactions that come out of the blue.
You may feel weighed down by the responsibilities of adulting, while longing for a more playful, fun, or carefree life.
You’re exhausted, stuck, and longing to feel good inside.
Grounded in Science,
Guided by Spirit
Hi, I’m Kiri Maura, an Internal Family Systems (IFS) and Buddhist-based therapist and coach. I support people who are trying to hold everything together and feel called toward deeper, transformative healing.
We start by developing an understanding of the underlying patterns shaping your experience so we can get to the heart of the matter. As we look within, we begin building the capacity to be with yourself in a more spacious, compassionate, and curious way.
We listen closely to what’s happening beneath the surface- the needs, the longings, the areas needing healing- and begin to sense what is asking for change so you can live in greater alignment with yourself.
My approach blends clinical therapy with a Buddhist-informed perspective shaped by years of meditation, emphasizing mindfulness, compassion, and cultivating resiliency.
My Services
Here are the different ways we can work together.
-
I offer KAP as an integrative therapeutic approach to treat depression, anxiety, trauma, PMDD, OCD, support nervous system regulation, and facilitate emotional healing and spiritual emergence.
-
I offer depth-oriented psychotherapy combining evidenced-based modalities with Buddhist and spiritual approaches.
-
I offer specialized PMDD therapy and coaching, providing somatic and emotional support with practical tools for coping during PMDD episodes. This work focuses on understanding your cycle, reducing symptom intensity, and building steadier emotional support before, during, and after episodes.
-
I offer short and long-term EMDR trauma therapy to treat various types of trauma including childhood trauma, cPTSD, and attachment trauma. EMDR can be combined with Ketamine if appropriate.
-
I offer psychedelic integration as a psychotherapeutic process to help clients integrate insights, emotions, and nervous system shifts following psychedelic experiences.
Ketamine-Assisted Therapy
Ketamine-Assisted Therapy (KAP) opens the door to working at the root- where long-held patterns, protective strategies, and emotional wounds can begin to shift.
Many people come to KAP feeling stuck- despite years of insight, personal growth, therapy, or medication. KAP can help alleviate symptoms of depression, anxiety, trauma, and PMDD while opening the door to deeper healing and transformation.
Ketamine can help soften defenses, open the heart, quiet habitual thought patterns, and create space for deeper emotional processing, self-compassion, spiritual connection, and new perspectives to emerge- accessing emotional material that’s often difficult to reach through talk therapy alone.
My approach integrates Buddhism, IFS, EMDR, attachment theory, nervous system regulation, unburdening oppression, and self-confidence practices- tailoring these elements to each client’s unique needs.
Serving clients locally in Berkeley & San Rafael and virtually throughout California and Washington.
